I love this book and movie so much, and it's one of those that everyone loves. Or if you haven't seen it...you definitely should. I know most everyone (it seems) has seen the movie, but I've found that not as many have read the book. But guys, the book is also SO GOOD. SO, one US winner will be receiving a paperback and DVD of The Princess Bride!
And, um, if you have never seen this The Princess Bride in 30 seconds, re-enacted by bunnies, you are seriously missing out. Really. Watch it. BUNNIES.

I've seen the movie and it's one of my all time favorites!! I've always wanted to read the book but just haven't made it a priority! Great choice!! :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is when Billy Crystal says "Have fun storming the castle!" because my dad has been saying that in our family since I was little.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 14 I had that movie constantly on repeat, I could probably quote you the entire thing! My favorite part is the sword fight and when he tumbles down the hill "as... you... wish..." "Oh my sweet Wesley!"

ReplyDeleteI've never read the book or seen the movie, but they are both on my lists. I haven't been able to find the book at my local used bookstore, and because of that, I refuse to watch the movie before I read the book.

ReplyDeleteMawwiage, sweet mawwiage -- my absolute favorite part! Cracks me up every single time, to this day. The Princess Bride is a childhood favorite. My brother used to read it to me, and once we owned a VCR, we watched the movie on repeat! Surprisingly, I don't own the book or movie, and would love to add both to my collection + revisit a wonderful childhood memory :)
